The GCFS Charter outlines the governance, ownership, and purpose of the Society. Those key areas are described below:
The GCFS is government by a Board of Directors with 15 members (12 are independent). The Board is elected by the members of the Society and provides oversight and stewardship for the entire society. The advisory panel serves to offer independent advice and guidance on the FMVA® curriculum and financial analyst training programs.
The Global Corporate Finance Society is 100% member-owned. To be a member of the society you must be a Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA) designation holder in good standing or enrolled in and working towards the certification.
